Work for Democracy Endorsement: Building a More Representative North Carolina in HD63

Our campaign is proud to announce that we have received the official Work for Democracy endorsement in our race to represent North Carolina House District 63!

Work for Democracy backs candidates across the nation who are committed to protecting democratic institutions, expanding voter access, and ensuring that government at every level remains accountable and transparent to everyday people.

Throughout two decades of public service in Alamance County, as Mayor of Burlington, a member of the City Council, and a local entrepreneur, my focus has always centered on ensuring we build a stronger, more representative democracy. That means proactively improving public engagement and directly incorporating community feedback into modernized municipal planning, responsible budgets, and equitable local policies.

Earning the Work for Democracy endorsement reinforces this campaign's core mission: stopping politicians in Raleigh from stripping decision-making power from our hometowns.

When state lawmakers pass top-down preemption laws and unfunded mandates, they silence local voices and make it harder for communities to solve their own challenges. In the General Assembly, I will bring a hands-on, common-sense approach to state government, fighting to lower the daily cost of living, expand workforce housing, and ensure that our tax dollars actually work for working families.
